Monday, Monday
Time flies.
Saturday we attended my son-in-law's college graduation in Goodlettsville and celebrated with a large group of family members at the Olive Garden after the ceremony. We really had a nice time! The graduating class was small (he received a degree in commercial art), and the atmosphere was happy and relaxed. The drive up there and back was a pain because of the on-going road construction and heavy traffic, but I somehow managed to get us there in one piece and didn't even get lost in the process. Amazing, considering the fact that I have absolutely no sense of direction...
We didn't get back home until 8 PM that night. There was a Books-A-Million across the road from the restaurant, so you know we had to check it out being as we were so close lol. I picked up two paperback novels and a wonderful book on grilling while Scott opted for yet another political read. We were exhausted by the time we got home, but it was a good day, and I really enjoyed getting away.
Sunday was spent doing as much nothing as possible, and before I could bat an eyelash, the alarm was blaring and it was Monday all over again.
Work is slow right now, and I'm having to look for things to keep me busy which is a drag. I have two vacant positions I need to fill quickly and spent a huge chunk of time last week interviewing. Two of the three candidates I passed along to HR for processing didn't even get through the criminal background checks without throwing up red flags. Boy, I can really pick 'em...
I suppose I've rambled long enough. I'm still unsettled in this temporary place and have tired of the frogs already. Maybe I'll play with templates today. {sigh}
BTW....Today is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. Did you know that vanilla ice cream outsells chocolate by 300%? I promise to do my part if you do, too ;~))
Have a marvelous Monday, all :)
